Seeing Sideways and Right-side Up
Final research project: Amelia Earhart
I’ve always been fascinated by her story and her personality. She was “one of the boys” in her time, breaking numerous societal barricades and proving that women can do anything they want to.
Her disappearance has always intrigued me, too and the mystery surrounding it. She disappeared July 2, 1937 somewhere over the vast Pacific Ocean. She was legally declared dead two years later on January 5, 1939 when no trace of her could be found.
Her remains are still believed to be “lost at sea” to this day despite numerous false claims suggesting her remains have been found.
